Akshara International is a day boarding school which provides holistic education based on CBSE curriculum. The school focuses on individual development as each class size is restricted to 24 students . For the pre-primary classes it offers day school option also.

The school will be moving to its new campus at Wakad, Pune from next academic session and will provide education from nursery till 6th standard.

The school was started by the same charitable trust that runs other institutions such as  "College of Engineering & Technology, Jalgaon" and "Vidya Bharati Shaikshanik Mandal, Amravati"

Hi , Can any one provide details of admission procedure as well as application forms can be given in this school. I need my son to get admit in UKG.

How is the fee structure?

My child is studying at Akshara and I am glad to share some points as below:

1. Excellent Infrastructure - The school building has a good design. They have an amphitheatre in the middle which is used every morning for assembly and cultural activities. The classrooms have been designed for 24 students and are very well ventilated. There is a demarcated area for children to board and alight from the buses which was very assuring for me (as I always worry about this aspect as a parent).
On Jeshree's comment on the toilets, I found them very modern and clean (I could see a separate housekeeping agency staff cleaning the toilets and corridors)

2. Strong Academic focus -They follow CBSE curriculum. As part of the Day boarding program they have remedial classes after the classroom teaching. To make learning more effective they have set up interactive digital classrooms with projector and audio system.
With the class size being limited to 24,the teacher is able to give more individual attention. They have a monthly PTA meeting where the parents can get feedback from the teacher.

3. Holistic Development
Their daily program covers academic, co-curricular activities (dance, music, Origami) and sports. My child really likes the trip to Balewadi stadium where they learn swimming and play other sports in the indoor halls. As working parents we would not have been able to take our child for various hobby and sports classes during the week and are happy that this developmental aspect is getting addressed.

There are some teething problems like their playground not being ready which they said would get done after the monsoon.

Thanks Murali for your comments... The school seems to be promising one...
Request you share the Fee Structure and Transport limitations, if any.. as these are not available on their site.. Thanks.

Does any one know about this school? How is it? How is the teaching quality? Are they providing the value for money? If someone knows the details please share it here..

The school have just moved to new wakad campus. well the architecture is good. infrastructure like toilet facilities has to be improved .they don/t even have hand jet fitted.

for NRI students very difficult.it promises by one month all will be all done.teachers need more training they need to develop more rapport with the students.

if am not satisfied but no choice left

Shalaka or any body else : Did you find abthing abt Akshara, please share.
