St. Joseph's school Boys High School was founded in 1858 (Yup - it is a 150 years old school) and is affiliated to the ICSE curriculum. The school is located in the heart of the city on Museum Road. Admission is offered all the way from LKG till the 12th standard. On an average there are 60 students per class. Starting 2007, girls are also being admitted from the 11th standard. Like any good school, St. Joseph's has been evolving the teaching methods over time. For e.g. - each class room is equipped with audio-visual teaching aid with computer aided instruction system (a 52" LCD TV, High speed broadband etc.). The school also has an extensive collection of books in the library. Other facilities in the school include an indoor children's play area (great idea!!), swimming pool, very good playground etc. There are lots of information about the history and background of the school in the school's website and Wikipedia (including famous Alumni etc.).
